What is the 5km radius?

The Fraternity Club is a Registered Club, and as such operates under the Registered Clubs Act. Part of this Act requires all patrons who reside within a designated 5km radius of The Fraternity Club, to become members if they wish to use club facilities. If you reside within this radius and wish not to become a member, you must be in the presence of a Fraternity Club member when utilising our facilities.

I live inside the 5km area, do I need to become a member?

Yes, you will need to become a member. Everyone over the age of 18 years living within the 5km radius is required to become a member to enter the club. However, you may attend a function at The Fraternity Club if you do not intend to use other club facilities, or you may be signed in by a member of The Fraternity Club as a guest.

How do I know if I live within 5kms of the club?

As a general rule, residents of Balgownie, Bellambi, Coniston, Corrimal, Fairy Meadow, Fernhill, Gwynneville, Keiraville, Mangerton, Mt Keira, Mt Ousley, Mt Pleasant, North Wollongong, Russell Vale, Tarrawanna, Towradgi, West Wollongong & Wollongong all fall within the 5km radius of the club, however there is a map depicting the 5km radius displayed in the foyer of the club if you are unsure. Those who do not live inside the 5km radius may sign in as a visitor when they visit the club.

What happens if I lose or damage my membership card?

If you have lost your membership card inside the Club, it will be handed in and kept at the Cash Box. However, if you have lost or damaged your card elsewhere, you can visit reception and have a new card printed (a small fee may be charged for the replacement card).

When do my bonus points expire?

All bonus points expire on the 30th June each year. We advise all members to ensure they redeem all points before this date or risk losing them.

When do I need to renew my membership?

The Club's membership runs by the financial year, so your membership will need renewing by July on the year indicated in on the front of your card.

Dining

I have some dietary requirements and am coming for lunch in the club, do you have any items suitable for me to eat?

Well it depends on your specific requirements, but we have vegetarian, lactose free and gluten free meals available! These menu items are clearly marked, however if you have any questions, simply see our friendly staff and we will do our best to assist. Our menu for the Baci Café can be viewed here and the La Trattoria here.

I have a group of 4 people who want to come for dinner in the La Trattoria, do we need to make a booking?

Generally, bookings for the La Trattoria are recommended for groups of 8 or more people – for smaller groups, such as yours, simply walk in and find a table. However, we do take bookings for smaller groups and recommend booking for special occasions or busy nights.
