The Fraternity Club, the first Italian social club in the Wollongong region, formed in 1953 celebrated its renovation opening on Wednesday 4th May 2016 at 6:30pm.
The opening showcased the newly renovated premises and construction works that commenced in 2015. The works commenced to modernise the Club which provides great food, dancing, entertainment and a place where patrons and the wider community come together.
With the use of warm coloured palettes, handsome fixtures and large comfortable furniture, furnishings and carpet. The Management and Board together with a team of architects have created an elegant and rich design that will enhance customer experiences and expectations.
The evening included speeches from Rob Brennan, Dario Borgo, Mick Cuda, Gordon Bradbery and Arturo Arcano - Consulate General of Italy.
The official opening of the renovations included an official ribbon cutting by Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery and Mick Cuda as well as cake cutting by founding President's son Dario Borgo, current president Mick Cuda and Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery.
“The Fraternity club has over 60 years of history in these walls and the new renovations have allowed us to upgrade the facilities, while still keeping true to our Italian heritage” says Mick Cuda, Fraternity Club president. “Our goal is to provide a place that is a true cosmopolitan Club, where families will enjoy the facilities for years to come.”
Fraternity Club General Manager Daniel Perkiss says "As a team we are very excited to offer this new facility to the members and community. The Fraternity Club has been on a journey of rediscovery and renewal and this capstone development is the message to the marketplace that we are truly back in business.” Daniel adds "For years now we have been fine tuning our product and service offerings, this facility upgrade will round out the customer experience"
The evening bought together foundation, gold and silver members as well as Fraternity Club management, board and influences.
